A New England Patriots beat writer with a background covering the draft, Doug Kyed, projects that Bill Belichick’s team will take Ohio State backup quarterback Kenny Guiton in the seventh round.
“Guiton also has enough athleticism that a position switch could be in the plans,” offers as part of his explanation. He also points out that Guiton met with the Pats earlier this week.
Mel Kiper, Jr. isn’t even sure if Guiton will be available in the seventh round, though. He said in an ESPN chat that Guiton “could go in the 5-6 round with some good workouts.”
This year’s draft starts May 8th, and we’ll have extensive coverage on 97.1 The Fan.
