The men’s NCAA Tournament bracket has been unveiled, and Ohio State (25-9) landed in the South Region where the six seed Buckeyes will take on eleven seed Dayton (23-10) in their opening game.
They’ll meet in Buffalo, New York.
The Flyers earned their way in to the Big Dance by winning 10 of their last 12 games. Both of those losses came to eventual Atlantic 10 Tournament champion, St. Josephs.
They have three players who average double-digit scoring, and that trio is led by Ohio State-transfer, Jordan Sibert (12.5 ppg). As a team, they average 73.4 points a contest, while they gave up an average of 67.6 points.
Dayton has five athletes from Ohio on their roster, including two from Columbus. Both Jalen Robinson and Devon Scott played their high school ball at Northland.
And, of course, the Flyers are coached by former Thad Matta assistant, Archie Miller. Miller spent two seasons at Ohio State. On his staff is Kevin Kuwik, who is a former Buckeye video coordinator.
