Wanted to clarify a tweet from Friday, which is when I sent out this:
Unfortunately, the tweet was misleading in that the team may have known. It was the team spokesmen who were unsure.
However, when CBJ brass figured out the window-dressing of making their picks is somewhat beside the point.
What is much more to the point, and what I was trying to convey Friday, is that the Blue Jackets now have multiple voices that are considered credible in the hockey world.
And the fact that they ended up having John Davidson, Jarmo Kekäläinen, Paul Castron and Tyler Wright all eventually take turns at the podium Sunday? Well, that deserves a mention, too.
It speaks to the depth of the organization from a front office standpoint, and it speaks to the unity of purpose of that front office.
