What Can Brown Do For Columbus’s All-Star Efforts?

You might recall that the Dispatch had a story recently regarding Mayor Michael Coleman writing the NHL and reminding them that Columbus would love to host the All-Star game, considering they lost out on being able to do so this year because of the lockout.

I’ve now received a statement from Senator Sherrod Brown’s office saying that he’s “is working with the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and Mayor Coleman. He is hopeful that Columbus will host the next NHL All-Star game.”

A request for comment from Senator Rob Portman’s people has gone unanswered.

  1. Westside Paul says:

Okay, but the only question that matters is, does Gary Bettman care, one way or the other, about Coleman’s and Brown’s lobbying?
