One Of These Things Is Not Like the Others

After Awful Announcing revealed that ESPN was using the word “sources” where other media outlets were using “reports,” ESPN did a pretty good job of course correcting in the days that followed.

Let’s hope that they do the same after it’s pointed out that they are also using a different definition of “game time” than their media brethren.

As you can see, where other websites have listed the game’s start time, ESPN has posted the time their televised pregame begins. I don’t mind that the World Wide Leader is sharing that information. In fact, it’s probably very helpful for those who want to tune in…if it’s clearly marked as such.
