Ohio State at the Statehouse

Ohio decided to honor the Buckeye football team and their coach Urban Meyer, so…

WHEREAS, the Ohio House and Senate wanted to recognize OSU; and

WHEREAS, OSU realized it would be a cool opportunity for the athletes to tour the Statehouse, it was, therefore,

RESOLVED that the Buckeyes would visit their representatives this week.

That visit took place Wednesday and school president E. Gordon Gee, athletics director Gene Smith and coach Meyer all spoke before both chambers.

And this is where you can see the Senate ceremony. It is also where I learned that there are zero degrees of separation between the Ohio Senate and Kevin Bacon.

There is no Senator Tressel, though! And sad as I am to report, a political football? Not an actual football.
