The Ohio State men’s basketball team was ranked third by the Big Ten media in a preseason conference poll today. Indiana was voted the league favorite and Michigan came in second.
Indiana sophomore Cody Zeller was named the Preseason Player of the Year by the same media panel, while the Buckeyes had two players named to the preseason’s All-Conference team in Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas.
On the women’s side, the media tabbed Ohio State to finish third behind Penn State and Nebraska. However, the Scarlet and Gray was snubbed when the Big Ten’s coaches were polled.
Both the coaches and media named OSU senior guard Tayler Hill Preseason Player of the Year. She shares that honor with Penn State’s Alex Bentley in the coaches’ voting.
