You’ve probably read commentaries by now about how the physicality of football risks killing the sport.
Most often you’ll hear accompanying references to how parents won’t allow their kids to play such a dangerous game. (Kurt Warner famously said he worries about the risks his children face when they play.)
Critics will also talk about the lawsuit being brought by former NFL players against the league.
However, that’s not the only courtroom challenge facing football.
A former Bowling Green player is suing the university over a head injuries he claims were not treated properly. A former USC Trojan wants compensation after he says mandatory injections of painkillers led to a heart attack that ended his chance of playing in the pros.
